We can help you identify the right visa for your employee, gather the required documentation, and file the necessary paperwork. We can also help you with the interview process and provide support throughout the entire visa process. There are many different types of work visas available, each with its own set of requirements. Some of the most common types of work visas include:
• H-1B The H-1B program allows employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in the U.S. on a nonimmigrant basis in specialty occupations or as fashion models of distinguished merit and ability. A specialty occupation requires the theoretical and practical application of a body of specialized knowledge and a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in the specific specialty (e.g., sciences, medicine, health care, education, biotechnology, and business specialties, etc.).
• H-1B1 The H-1B1 program allows employers to temporarily employ foreign workers from Chile and Singapore in the U.S. on a nonimmigrant basis in specialty occupations. Current laws limit the annual number of qualifying foreign workers who may be issued an H-1B1 visa to 6,800 with 1,400 from Chile and 5,400 from Singapore.
• E-1 and E-2 This type of visa allows people from certain countries to visit the U.S. to carry on trade activities. People can obtain an E-1 work visa as a treaty trader or an E-2 work visa as a treaty investor
• E-3 The E-3 program allows employers to temporarily employ foreign workers from Australia in the U.S. on a nonimmigrant basis in specialty occupations. Current laws limit the annual number of qualifying foreign workers who may be issued an E-3 visa to 10,500 Australian nationals seeking temporary work in specialty occupations.
• L-1: This visa is for employees who are being transferred to a U.S. office of their company.
o L-1A: Managers and executives sent to the U.S. to work at or establish a new U.S. location may be eligible for an L-1A visa.
o L-1B: Employees below the manager level may qualify for an L-1B visa to work for the organization in the U.S. if they have specialized knowledge about the business, its product or its processes.

• O-1: This visa is for individuals who have extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences, education, business, or athletics.
• P-1: This visa is for athletes and entertainers who have been internationally recognized in their field.
• TN visa
The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA created the TN work visa). It’s for Mexican or Canadian citizens who want to come to the U.S. to work for an employer. In order to qualify, you prove that you’re a citizen of one of those countries, have a job offer from a U.S. employer and have a position that qualifies you under NAFTA. Some examples are lawyers, scientists, engineers, accountants, and pharmacists.
