We are in search of a motivated tax manager who will be responsible for the timely preparation and filing of clients’ state and federal tax documents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong drive to excel in their role. The tax manager will play a crucial role in developing effective solutions for potential tax-related challenges, staying updated with the latest developments in tax legislation, and communicating new legislative changes to the team. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of providing clients with expert guidance on tax planning, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The tax manager’s primary objective is to ensure that clients’ tax obligations are met accurately and punctually. This requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. By efficiently managing multiple projects, the tax manager can ensure that all tax-related responsibilities are fulfilled promptly. As a tax manager, you will need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills to address potential tax issues that may arise. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accurately preparing and filing federal and state tax returns in a timely manner.

· Developing tax strategies to assist clients in being tax compliant.

· Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization’s tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

· Review and analyze financial data to identify tax issues and opportunities for tax savings.

· Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

· Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to provide necessary information for tax audits and inquiries.

· Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to the organization.

· Conduct tax research and provide guidance to internal teams on tax-related matters.

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to taxes.

· Manage and supervise a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

· Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of tax records and documentation in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax-related functions.

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

· CPA is preferred.

· 5+ years of experience in the accounting field.

· Proven experience as a tax manager or in a similar tax role.

· The ability to work with different taxation software.

· Extensive knowledge of tax legislation.

· Strong analytical and communication skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS

In the role of Accounting Manager, you will hold a supervisory position responsible for overseeing the operations of our accounting department and ensuring it aligns with the department’s goals and objectives. You will provide direct management and mentorship to our team of finance professionals, taking responsibility for work allocation, professional development, and problem resolution. An integral part of your role involves performance management, such as giving constructive feedback, conducting appraisals, and managing disciplinary actions when needed.

Your leadership will extend to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, fostering a culture of compliance, ethical conduct, and continual process improvement.

Quality control is also a key component of your role, as you’ll be expected to review and approve work produced by your team to ensure it maintains accuracy and adheres to the required regulations and

company policies.

You will also coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and oversee the creation of all financial reports.

In addition, your role involves collaboration with other department leaders to improve and streamline financial procedures, controls, and workflows, which contributes to the overall performance of the company.
